2012 Charnwood Challenge Results
The winner of this years Charnwood Challenge was Amy Ingleton, who completed the course an amazing 5 seconds quicker than her predicated time! Runner up was Lawrence Thorpe who was within 16 seconds of his predicated time. Well done to Amy & Lawrence - your prizes are on their way! A full list of results can be viewed here...

Charnwood Tri Club AGM
The Club AGM will be held at Welbeck College on the 26th November at 7.30pm. All club members are invited and very welcome to attend. We really value input from all about how the club should be run and developed. A formal agenda will be circulated nearer the time. Vitruvian Entries Now Open
Online entries for the Vitruvian are now open.
If you're looking to race this event in 2013 please DO NOT delay entering...this is the fastest filling event in the UK and sold out all 1000 spaces in under 36 hours for the 2011 edition and under 24 hours for 2012.

British Triathlon Awards
Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 British Triathlon Awards Dinner, set to take place on Saturday 17 November at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, West Midlands. To purchase your ticket, please click here This year’s event offers the unique opportunity to meet our London 2012 Olympians including Olympic Gold medallist, Alistair Brownlee and Bronze medallist, Jonathan Brownlee. Ticket holders will also be able to listen to their stories from London 2012 through an interview hosted by Olympic 1500m Silver medallist and sports commentator, Steve Cram. Tickets have traditionally been snapped up, and in what has been a spectacular year for the sport, British Triathlon expects another sell-out night of celebration in 2012. Alongside celebrating elite athlete performances, the flagship event also recognises the achievements of our outstanding age-group athletes, and the exceptional contribution made by officials, volunteers, coaches and event organisers to the sport. In summary the details are:
- Tickets can be purchased online here.
- Tickets are priced at £40, which includes a drinks reception, three-course meal and wine on the table.
- Guest interviews with Steve Cram and our 2012 Olympians.
Venue
- National Motorcycle Museum, Junction 6, M42.
- 7pm until 1am.

Nominations for Sport Awards Open
Charnwood is very fortunate to be blessed with a strong sporting history and community. Several local bodies are currently looking for nominations to recognise those who compete, or volunteer their spare time to coach or support sports clubs.
