South Derby Cross Country Races
The South Derby Cross Country Race series started last Sunday at Markfield with around 500 entrants. It was a lovely day but a somewhat muddy course. Half a dozen club members took part as members of either Barrow or Ivanhoe running clubs. It's great training and very social and only costs £3. There are 5 more races over the next few months. So if you fancy a winter challenge give it a go (you will need to be in one of the running clubs). Details can be found at www.derbyrunnerleague.co.uk/ .
