CTC Adult Head Coach

Job Title	Head Coach for Adults
Report to	Club Committee
Hours per week	Core Coaching hours: Tuesday 6.45 – 7.45am Thursday 6.45 – 7.45am Plus attendance to club meetings as and when invited
Hourly rate	UKCC L2 Coach: £15 per hour UKCC L3 Coach: £20 per hour
Main Purpose	DUTIES OF ADULT HEAD COACH: To take full responsibility for the club’s Adult Swimming coaching sessions, including completion of the Participant Register for each session. Plan and deliver coaching sessions appropriate to the ability of the participants. Plan, deliver and review annual coaching programmes To prepare and publish session plans/ schedule in advance (on the forum or website) of sessions. To work with and include Assistant coachesin the preparation and running of each session. To be responsible for assistant coach management and the coach’s development; provide mentoring support where appropriate; provide regular feedback and coach reviews to each coach Ensure that you are well briefed about any special needs of the swimmers involved i.e.: fitness levels, medical conditions, physical impairments or disabilities To offer the club feedback on the organisation and degree of success of coaching and competitions. To inform the appropriate member of committee in advance of any sessions that cannot be attended. Abide by all policies and codes as required by the club. Ensure that all coaching qualifications are renewed and updated as and when required and a commitment to continual Professional Development. Be aware and understand the facility Emergency Action Plan and Normal Operating Procedures (EAP & NOP) To follow and promote the Triathlon England Child Protection policy
Competencies / Experience required	Be well organised, prepare in advance, good communicator, good leader and motivator. To show an appropriate level of technical knowledge. To hold a BTF or ASA Coach UKLCC Level 2 or 3 qualification as appropriate to the club membership
